ReZone Executive Coaching Standards

When hiring an executive coach, it’s important that there is alignment between the coach, the sponsoring organization and the individual receiving the coaching.  Understanding what is valued most is the first natural place to start. At ReZone, we believe it’s important to set high standards and operate from a consistent set of core values.  

All ReZone executive coaching clients receive a consistent high-quality executive coaching experience regardless of which coach is selected to coach them.  Each ReZone Affiliate Coach has been carefully selected to ensure professionalism, approachability, comfort with complex issues, and a willingness to challenge a client to focus on being at their best.

In addition to demonstrating appropriate qualifications and experience, each coach aligns to the ReZone Core Coaching Values. Rezone believes in putting the leader first in a balanced approach to coaching that values leadership development, exceptional on-the-job performance and a well rounded high quality of life that reaches beyond the workplace.  

ReZone Core Coaching Values

The following statements were developed to describe the core beliefs and values of ReZone Coaching founder, Brian Houp.  Every ReZone Affiliate Coach has also demonstrated clear alignment to each value statement.

  • Value clarity and simplicity in the fast-paced business environment prone to create overwhelm.
  • Value hard work and commitment with consistent steady progress forward.
  • Believe many leaders today have excessive workloads. ReZone coaches are mindful of this and are always reasonable when suggesting additional work beyond coaching sessions.
  • Believe strongly in addition by subtraction.  Giving increased attention and focus to the most important and powerful priorities while reducing time on lower impact items leads to real significant success.
  • Respect the time of others. Show up to all meetings on time & well prepared.
  • Value timely communication. Respond to all communication from clients and colleagues within 1 business day. (Exceptions for holidays, vacations or planned time away from work)
  • Place a high value on the quality of life of each leader beyond a successful career. This includes maintaining quality relationships with family/friends and taking care of oneself mentally, physically and spiritually.  
  • Strive to be real, authentic and approachable while maintaining the highest degree of professionalism in each of business relationship.
  • Believe that confidentiality should be of the highest priority. No coaching discussion contents are every shared outside the one-on-one relationship between the coach and the individual.  
  • Possessing a mindset of a constant learner, it’s important to take regular actions that improve self and provide opportunities to improve others.  
  • Demonstrate a commitment to personal leadership growth, development & feedback (including currently working with a coach/mentor)
  • Enjoy going over and above to help clients and colleagues in every way possible.  

Leadership Background

Coaches who have had first hand experience successfully leading others under fire, during times of chaos, have a unique ability to empathize with clients facing similar challenges.  Every ReZone Affiliate Coach has a background that includes holding formally defined leadership roles in organizations while leading under stress, pressure and/or during significant change.  Despite the challenging situations, they demonstrated an ability to achieve significant success.

Coaching Qualifications & Experience

Every carefully selected ReZone Affiliate Coach has participated in professional training and demonstrated a consistent pattern of success appropriate for the project they are assigned.  Required qualifications and experience include:

  • Executive Coaching Program Certification
  • Active Professional Coaching Credential (ICF, CTI or equivalent )
  • Certification/Training on Assessment Tools being used (i.e. The Leadership Circle Profile, EQ-i 2.0 Emotional Intelligence Assessment, etc )
  • Robust History of Full-time Executive Coaching Experience
  • Coached in organizations of similar magnitude as project assigned
  • Coached leaders in similar types of roles as those assigned
  • Proven track record of highly satisfied coaching clients
  • Recommendations from trusted coaching industry leaders
  • Ongoing depth of experience, coaching leaders across various fields/industries
